The mark
Four squares, two colours
The TAZ mark is not a logo that sits in a corner. The visual structure of this entire site came out of those four squares.
Where it came from
The mark is lifted from the brand's own banner: a 2×2 grid where two gold squares and two slate-blue ones sit diagonally opposite each other. No curve, no gradient, no effect. The precision the brand claims, in the simplest form available.
Why the same shape everywhere
That grid repeats in the values section, in the step numbers, and in how cards are laid out. When one shape recurs across a site, the page reads as coherent without saying anything — and coherence is what the mind reads as care.
Rules
- The mark always sits on navy, never on a light ground.
- The proportions are fixed: a 45-unit square with a 10-unit gutter on a 100-unit grid.
- No curve, no shadow and no gradient is ever added to it.
- The two colours sit opposite each other, not beside — diagonal, never in a row.
